IVA Solutions, Inc. deploys video surveillance systems to view and record activity from on-site and multiple remote locations and consists of a variety of components. Typical components consist of cameras, monitors, digital recorders / multiplexers, matrix switchers, and video transmission systems. Camera & monitor types can be provided to meet a variety of needs such as low light and high-resolution environments.

Digital video recording (DVR) is the latest technology available. DVR systems are designed to digitally record images on a computer's storage disks. The benefits of this type of technology include:

  • Greater reliability than video tape due to reduced mechanical failure
  • Better recorded image
  • Greater search ability
  • Remote accessibility
A variety of video transmission systems are available to transport the video image to any location for viewing and/or recording. These systems can include fiber, LAN/WAN, DSL, traditional telephone lines, and others. Most large video installations utilize a hundred or more cameras and multiple monitors. In these types of scenarios, matrix video switchers are required. They allow the user to control multiple cameras and monitors. This technology provides the flexibility and the ability for specific camera images to be displayed on specified monitors to insure a controlled security environment.
